Manchester Muslim College (MMC) is a traditional private Islamic Institute with a modern approach. The President of the World Islamic Mission Hazrat Allama Muhammad Qamaruzzaman Khan Azmi (حفظه الله) is the founder and patron of the college, which is powered by the renowned organization known as World Islamic Mission.

Our aims & objectives

It is our aim to provide our communities with leaders that can tackle the increasing number of challenges facing the British Muslim Community. As well as the many social issues requiring pastoral care and advice, we aim to prepare our students to be able to tackle issues such as Extremism and Islamophobia.

We try to focus on the needs of each individual student and aim to nurture each student in order to ensure their journey at The Manchester Muslim College is successful and progressive.

Our Creed & School of thought

Manchester Muslim College follows the Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamaah creed.

MMC follows the Ḥanafī school of thought in Jurisprudence (Fiqh of Imam Abū Ḥanīfa)MMC also follows the Māturīdī school of theology. This is one of the main Sunni schools of Islamic theology, founded by the Ḥanafī jurist, reformer, and scholastic theologian Abū Manṣūr al-Māturīdī. MMC also follow the methodology of the great scholar, jurist, philosopher, ascetic and poet: Imam Aḥmad Riḍā Khan al-Ḥanafī al-Qadirī al-Barelwī.

MMC in the society

MMC is an institute founded by the world renowned organisation World Islamic Mission. The aim is to spread the true teachings of Islam in the light of Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad. In this regard WIM is active in at least 24 countries around the world. It aims to promote Islamic knowledge, enhance social development, teach true understanding of Quran and Hadith, and inculcate sincere love and respect for Prophet Muhammad.
